What was the highlight of Richmond Inn Hotel
In the first room the television was not working at all.
In the first room the television was not working at all. Fortunately I moved rooms. The following morning the shower started off being too hot. I couldn't regulate it. Then the water went totally cold - from both the bath tap and the shower. I had a cold shower.

What was the highlight of Richmond Inn Hotel
The hotel is clean, comfortable and informal, ideal for a short stay close to London.
The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The room was fine and the bathroom and shower excellent. The breakfast was good with a mixture of table service and buffet, nothing spectacular but certainly adequate. We stayed during a cold snap and the room was warm without being stuffy. The location is excellent, a few minutes walk from Richmond station and lots of restaurants.
It seemed quite expensive for a mid-range hotel though no more so than other hotels in the area. That said, Richmond and Chiswick are both nice places to explore and public transport puts you close to central London and the airports.

Nice hotel but a fragile operation.
The room, the location and availability of parking
There was an interruption of the gas supply to the hotel, outwith the control of the holte's management. Unfortunately the interruption was of long duration and was not over when we left after a two-night stay to attend a funeral. Throughout our stay there was no hot water as the hot water heating was completely reliant on mains gas. The interruption was not the fault of the hotel, but there was no contingency plan, so we were left with only cold water with which to to shower or take baths. The hotel needs contingency arrangements for this circumstance.

What was the highlight of Richmond Inn Hotel
Pretty, characterful heritage hotel
The location was excellent, not right in the centre but a very short pleasant walk from the pretty hub of Richmond. The room was spacious, pretty and nicely decorated with character, exceptionally clean and well furnished.
The room was cold. Eventually I figured that I could turn on the radiator, which helped but it was still rather cold. I might have expected that the heat would have been turned on in anticipation of the guest's arrival.
